Let's Do Brunch

According to Focus on the Family, women go silently from the church to the abortion clinic. More than four in 10 women who had an abortion were churchgoers when they ended their pregnancy (survey from Care Net). Only 7 percent of women discussed their abortion with anyone at church. Three-fourths say the church had no influence on their decision to terminate a pregnancy. Only 38 percent of women who have had an abortion consider church a safe place to discuss pregnancy options including parenting, abortion and adoption. Dr. Bill Lile says, “The role of the church is to defend life and discuss forgiveness.” Hope Clinic for Women wants to help churches know how to be that “safe place” for anyone walking through their doors needing support after abortion.

Hope Clinic for Women will host “Let’s Do Brunch” for women’s ministry leadership on February 15 from 10am-11:30am at the Clinic to discuss “Abortion Healing in the Church,” to help them know how to reach those needing support in their congregations. To reserve a spot at the brunch, please contact our Program Services Director Erika Luis-Chavez at 760-728-4105 Ext 12. Seats are limited for these sessions.
